Ryan Galat, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Galat was born in Ft. Campbell, Kentucky and lived in Michigan for a few years before relocating to his hometown of The Colony, TX. Following high school, Dr. Galat spent four years as a security forces officer in the United States Air Force where he was stationed in England, San Antonio, and North Dakota. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in 2019 and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2023 from Texas A&M University.

Dr. Galat has held a lifelong love of animals and has always found a way to work alongside them- from helping train military working dogs in the UK, to working as a veterinary technician for four years, to volunteering at various animal rescue/humane societies. As a new graduate, Dr. Galat’s veterinary interests are vast with particular emphases in areas including soft tissue surgery, dentistry, pain management, senior pet care, integrative medicine, and incorporating exotics (especially rats!) into his practice. He is a member of the American and Texas Veterinary Medical Associations and is certified in Fear Free veterinary techniques.

Dr. Galat believes that client relationships and education are extremely significant aspects of veterinary medicine in order to ensure the best possible advocacy and care for the pets we hold so dear. He is excited to get plugged in at Cross Timbers AMC to help serve the community to the best of his ability. He has recently relocated to Flower Mound alongside his miniature Australian Shepherd best buddy, Quinn.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Galat enjoys reading, writing, the Dallas Mavericks, exercising, live music, kayaking, LEGO, and spending quality time with family and friends (but mainly with Quinn).
